Josh has owned this car for several years and it was time to freshen up the ol girl and fix some issues. The main issue was the body & paint. The quarter panel got hit, the paint was scabby, the doors and fenders were misaligned and the scallop flames were way off base.
While we were at it, we decided to pull the engine and transmission for a freshening. The tired 390 was passing a good bit of oil and the Ford-o-matic needed some help. When the drivetrain came out, we noticed the power steering system needed some attention as well, so it was decided to rebuild all components involved.
Now that we had a real project on our hands, Josh made the decision to just make sure everything in the car was up to par, so that lead into completely re-wiring the car, going through the brakes, fixing the tunes, re-wiring the air ride system, well, the list goes on and on. Any of this sound familiar??
The goal for the car was to have a great looking, reliable cruiser that won't leave Josh & his wife Heidi stranded at the local Dairy Queen (sore subject) when they go out for a cruise...
